Dong-A University's Department of Food and Nutrition has a long history and tradition that began in 1977. Based on its excellent faculty and specialized research and education system, the department nurtures future leaders in the 'correct dietary culture' for health promotion and disease prevention and treatment.

    What kind of support will I receive for employment when I enroll in the Department of Food and Nutrition?

    The Department of Food and Nutrition supports various programs to improve students' ability to find employment in their majors (job fairs tailored to the department, intensive English education, special lectures for major-related qualifications/examinations, on-site industrial training, industry-university cooperative activity programs, overseas training, etc.). The program has been selected as a LINC 3.0, the 4th Industrial Revolution Innovation Leading University, and is now operating various programs with more substantial content. In addition, through close student guidance in cooperation with lifelong guidance professors, employment guidance professors, and key professors for industry-academia cooperation, we are supporting personalized learning, career paths, and character enhancement.

    We are operating and participating in various projects such as the 3-stage Leading Industry-University Collaboration Project (LINC 3.0), the Project for Fostering Human Resources for Combining Knowledge Property in New Industrial Fields, the Expert Competency Enhancement Program, the Local Community Contribution Program, the 4-stage Brain Korea 21 Project, the 4th Industrial Revolution Innovation Leading University Project, the Brain Busan 21+ Project, the Sahago-gu Child Food Service Management Support Center, and the Sahaw-gu Social Welfare Food Service Management Support Center.     What courses are offered in the Department of Food and Nutrition?

    n the first year, students take Food and Nutrition, Nutritional Physiology, General Biology, and General Chemistry as the department's liberal arts courses for the foundation of the major. In the fourth year, students take courses in food hygiene, food service management and marketing strategies, community nutrition and policy, and product development and evaluation as major courses to deepen their major. Students may choose to major in bio-health research, professional nutrition and dietetics, food-related fields, or food service and culinary arts.
