Dept. of Future Energy Engneering
Introducing our department.
The sustainable development of the national economy requires a stable energy supply and must be supported by the training of professionals in related fields. Based on this, the Department of Future Energy Engineering aims to conduct research and education in the fields of energy exploration, energy development, energy generation, energy environment, energy integration, and energy storage for sustainable future energy with the goal of developing environmentally friendly future energy in a low-carbon society. The Department of Future Energy Engineering aims to train professional engineers with global competitiveness.
Educational Goals
The Department of Future Energy Engineering aims to train internationally competitive professional engineers through education in the exploration, development, generation, environment, fusion, storage, and economics of alternative/renewable energy and strategic energy resources, and in solving future environmental problems such as underground storage of carbon dioxide and resource recycling. The program is designed to train internationally competitive professional engineers.
Introducing Our Department's Distinctive Programs
Distinctive Program
Zero Carbon Leadership Academy2023.02.07.
Domestic and International Field Training2023.02.10.
- Zero Carbon Leadership AcademyStudents will complete short term education related to greenhouse gas reduction during the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Sector (CCUS) Winter and Summer Academy programs. A variety of experts are brought in to develop expertise in technology, policy, carbon neutrality, and more.
- Domestic and International Field TrainingWe improve the actual field skills of current students by operating domestic and international field training through the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Innovative Human Resource Development Project and the Data Science-based Oil and Gas Exploration Consortium Project.
Department pride
Since 2008, when the Ministry of Knowledge Economy (now the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Natural Resources) selected the university as a "Specialized University for Human Resource Development", the department has been steadily making groundbreaking progress by attracting outstanding students, expanding its faculty, reorganizing its educational programs, and improving its infrastructure. The department provides students with internships and on-site training through the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Innovative Human Resource Development Project, the Data Science-Based Oil and Gas Exploration Consortium, the Rechargeable Battery Core Materials for Energy Storage Specialized Training Project for Medium-sized Enterprises, and the Regional Industry Solutions (RIS) Project.
