Dept. of Landscape Architecture
Introducing our department.
Landscaping means "zou" to create, "造" to make, and "景" to landscape. Kei" scenery, landscape. It means "to make scenery, landscape". Landscape architecture is literally the fundamental study of the human desire to make the environment in which we live and our surroundings beautiful and pleasant.
As a specialized field that applies artistic and scientific principles to the study, planning, design, and management of natural and man-made environments, it is a discipline that understands the relationship between nature and man and the problems of the urban environment and studies this systematically to create everything from single houses and apartments to hospitals, hotels, highways, parks, cultural assets, and more, so that our All the environments surrounding us are subject to landscaping and require the hands of landscaping experts, so we aim to train rational and creative professional landscaping engineers.
Recently, there has been a great interest in the environment, so in addition to natural ecological restoration and environmentally friendly space creation, including ecological restoration projects for destroyed ecosystems and urban rivers, ecological restoration projects for incised slopes along highways, resilience-related projects, and LID projects, we are also developing computer-based geographic information analysis (GIS) in the field of environmental planning and design. In addition, computer-based geographic information analysis (GIS) and computer graphic design (CAD, Photoshop, Illustrator) are being offered alongside traditional education in the fields of environmental planning and design, and efforts are being made to provide education in line with current trends.
Educational Goals
- To understand the relationship between nature and humans and the problems of the urban environment, to systematically study these issues, and to cultivate more rational and creative landscape architectural specialists.
- Cultivate ecological restoration specialists who can acquire and utilize technologies related to the restoration of damaged natural environments.
