Introducing our department.
The Department of Finance, established in March 2005, responds to rapid changes in the financial environment by educating students not only in the theory and in-depth knowledge necessary for financial professionals based on a basic understanding of finance in general, but also in the practical knowledge that can be applied in the real world, in order to foster individuals with the core skills to lead the financial market. The program is designed to develop individuals with the core competencies to lead the financial market.
Educational Goals
In addition to general economic theory, the program aims to cultivate investment and risk management theory for cash financial markets such as stocks, bonds, and foreign exchange, and derivative financial instruments such as futures, options, and swaps, as well as financial expertise in real finance, and to lead the financial industry in Korea as a professional financier.

- Practical SeminarsWe invite experts in the latest theory-based practice as lecturers, and integrate theory and practice on recent financial practice issues and advanced financial practice investment strategies and techniques to maximize the learning effect.
- Career DevelopmentIn relation to Leadership and Career Development, we provide 1:1 tailor-made career development and advising through the Lifelong Teaching Professorship System to help students find good job opportunities after graduation.
- Special Lectures and Invited Lectures on Job HuntingWe invite graduates and practitioners in various fields to give special lectures on career paths, internships, and employment strategies.
Department pride
Ranked 1st in departmental satisfaction by current students (4th in Humanities and Social Sciences) and 1st in departmental satisfaction by graduates in the last 3 years.
About 49% of students who were employed in the last 5 years were employed in the financial industry, including public companies/civil servants, financial public companies located in BIFC, and large companies.
Various scholarships are available, including internal and external scholarships, the scholarship for the finance department's foundation, and the scholarship for the president of the alumni association.
