Dept. of Chinese Studies

Introducing our department.

The Department Chinese Studies is a newly established department that merged the existing Chinese language department and Chinese studies major, and has a wealth of educational know-how and infrastructure.

Based on this, students are required to acquire proficiency in Chinese, which is the basis of Chinese studies, in the first and second years, and are encouraged to cultivate practical proficiency in Chinese by operating exchange student programs with various universities in China and Taiwan at the school and departmental levels.

In addition, in order to understand contemporary China and develop insights into the future of China, the curriculum of regional studies related to Chinese politics, economy, society, culture, and history is built step by step to ensure comprehensive and in-depth learning.

1) Localized education through exchanges with China
2) Training Multifunctional human resources to meet social needs

  • Chinese Studies DayOn this day, alumni of the Department of Chinese Studies and current students interact with each other.
