Introducing our department.

We offer a curriculum organized into foundational fields, history of philosophy, European continental philosophy, Anglo-American philosophy, practical skills, and educational fields. Through this educational program, we aim to guide students toward career paths outlined in our educational objectives.

In order to cultivate convergent bioethics experts required in the era of bio-technology, the curriculum consists of philosophy and ethics education to cultivate an overall understanding of human beings and logical and creative problem-solving skills, basic bioethics education as a foundation for solving bioethical problems, and practice-oriented education necessary to act as a bioethics expert.

Educational Goals

The Department of Philosophy and Medical Ethics aims to cultivate social talents with the philosophical and ethical literacy required by all disciplines, arts, and the digital age.
The Department of Philosophy and Biomedical Ethics aims to foster social talents with the philosophical and ethical skills required in the digital age by teaching philosophy, which is the foundation of all disciplines, arts, and ideas, and biomedical ethics, which is urgently requested by our society in the era of biotechnology. To this end, we provide customized curriculum composed of three stages: basic competence in Philosophy and Biomedical Ethics, practical competence, and employment competence.

  • Philosophy Student Medical Ethics Department Travelogue The first semester travelogue is a program that allows students to see, hear, feel, and experience together during the trip, and through this time have time to reflect on the past and prepare for the future..
  • Philosophy and Biomedical Ethics Department People's Night As a unique event of the Department of Philosophy and Biomedical Ethics, this program marks the end of the first semester and the start of the second semester. It provides a time for unity through various events such as department-wide operations, meeting presentations, guest lectures by alumni, and events, creating a sense of togetherness.
