Introducing our department.

The College of Medicine at Dong-A University seeks to cultivate pre-medical students who care for themselves and others, who are faithful to their present and future lives, and who respond to the needs of patients, communities, and the global community through a program that harmoniously blends the natural sciences and humanities.

Dept of Premedical Course students learn their major subjects at the Gudeok Campus, where the hospital and medical departments are located, and learn the meaning of 'doctoring' by interacting with seniors and professors in a relaxed manner.

They can also interact with students from other departments and broaden their awareness of various fields through liberal arts classes at the Bumin and Seunghak campuses.

Educational Goals

Based on the founding philosophy of "Hongik Ingan", we train doctors who demonstrate professional competence in response to the needs of the local community and the world.

    What are the requirements for advancement to the medical program?

    Students must complete the second-year medical school standard of 76 credits and submit to the department office a transcript of the approved English Language Proficiency Test with a grade of approved or higher and documentation of at least 40 hours of volunteer service during the school year.

    What is the minimum credit requirement for the Academic Merit Scholarship?

    17 credits, with a minimum of 13 credits to be fulfilled in the second semester of the second year of medical school.
