Dept. of Chemical Engineering

Introducing our department.

The Department of Chemical Engineering aims to train highly-skilled personnel and adapt them to various fields through a curriculum and experimental training to improve the domestic and international competitiveness of industries related to multifunctional new materials, semiconductors, and recycling, including the new fields of energy, nano materials (NT), biotechnology (BT), and environmental issues (ET) in the 21st century.

The objective of the program is to For this purpose, the program provides general instruction in basic science and enables students to master new advanced fields such as precision chemistry, new materials, biochemistry, process automation, alternative and clean energy, etc., which are required by industrial development, so that they will have the abilities and qualities to become experts in their major related fields.

Educational Goals
  • Strengthening the basic engineering disciplines that form the foundation of chemical engineering
  • Cultivate the ability to acquire specialized knowledge in the field of chemical processes
  • Reinforcement of practical skills in the field
  • Enhancement of competitiveness and informatics knowledge as a leading chemical engineering engineer
  • Cultivation of a sense of professional and moral responsibility and cooperative spirit

Introducing Our Department's Distinctive Programs

Distinctive Program

  • Undergraduate Student Creative Research Program By managing team projects in different fields, students can apply the knowledge acquired in theoretical courses to practical training and research, and strengthen their practical/professional skills in chemical engineering. Some of the participating teams have participated in and won awards at external academic competitions for their research topics.
  • Computerized education of high purity and ultra-precision chemical processesThrough theoretical learning and practical training using the chemical process simulator (ASPEN PLUS), students will experience the actual chemical process design process, cultivate computerized design skills, and strengthen their employment skills.
  • High Purity/Ultraprecision Industry Observation ProgramVisits to chemical engineering-related industries to cultivate on-site practical skills and improve the employment rate of students in the major's Related companies.
  • High Purity and Ultra-Precision Chemistry CompetitionStrengthen the ability to apply major knowledge through process design and prototyping.
